Creation of the Interprofessional Group of Dates in The Group : cross-industry Dates was originally created by the act n074-45 of the may 22, 1974. This grouping was endowed with a legal personality, and had the members of the farmers, dates, packers, exporters and manufacturers dealing with this product.

2001 – 2005

Fusion within the GIFruits : In 2005, the G. I. D, the Interprofessional Group of Citrus and Fruit (G. I. A. F) and the Interprofessional Group of the Vine (G. I. V. (I) have been officially disbanded and merged into a single group called the Groupement Interprofessionnel des Fruits (G. I. Fruit). This merger was decided in the wake of the Ministerial Council of 22 November 2001 in a strategic direction in order to optimize the activities and the human and material resources of the industry associations in areas of similar activities.

March 27, 2018

Re-creation of the GIDattes Seat in Tozeur : On the request of the producers of dates, and a view of the vital contribution of the sector in the national economy, the tunisian government has decided to allocate to the dates of their own interprofessional group, separate courses GIFruits. The GIDattes was officially launched on March 27, 2018, the date of publication of its status in a decree of the minister of Agriculture, Hydraulic Resources and Fisheries. Its headquarters was established at Tozeur, to ensure greater proximity with the production areas.

Le GIDattes est un organisme légal à intérêt économique sous tutelle du Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Ressources Hydrauliques et de la Pêche, doté d’une autonomie financière.

This grouping is established between physical persons and legal entities having the quality of agricultural producers, processors or exporters of agricultural products or agricultural products and food, working in the sector dates.
